Upon my exit, I was told that if I did decide that I wanted to resume fellowship, that we’d have to talk about me “not holding back” and that I would need to bring all of myself to our meetings. I had brought all of myself to our meetings and I wish they knew me enough to know that. Part of what I was bringing was my own discretion. Discretion is knowing what is appropriate to say or not. No one can determine that for anyone else as each of us seeks to speak and behave in a kind and Christ-like way.
