I was emotionally exhausted and spiritually disoriented. Leaving OI felt like stepping out of a fog—one that had dulled my instincts and eroded my confidence in regards to my relationship with God. I had internalized so much criticism and control that I questioned my own worth and decisions. The sense of isolation was profound, especially since I didn’t have family within the group. I felt broken, like I had been reshaped to fit someone else’s mold, and now I was trying to remember who I truly was. I was completly alone and broken.
